Jeenyus Snowboard: Freestyle Fun

A board that is on the market that doesn’t have a huge presence but makes a big impact is the Jeenyus snowboard. These boards are mainly focussed at covering both freeride and freestyle rider’s needs within one board. They focus on bringing the fun back to snowboarding with a niche following. A truly underground board that is good for breaking into snowboarding.

Instead of going for a flashy outrageous style orientated strategy to marketing, you can expect a Jeenyus snowboard to be more focused simpler designs that are good looking breaking the mould from the mainstream boards.

Jeenyus were bought out by Burton in 2004 so you can expect the same levels of quality but for a lot more palatable price. Features to look out for in a Jeenyus snowboard are:

Center Flex Core Profile
Pro Models are profiled to be forgiving at lower speeds and ruthless at breakneck speeds. All one directional twins (except for KJ's 161)

30 Degree Quadrax W/Karbon
Keep a look out for minute fibers inside the board.  They provide flex and support to give the board its overall presence on the slopes.

  Sintered 7200 Bases
Pro Models use this material to give the Jeenyus snowboard it’s lightning quick edge.
    I-Lock Mounting System
Pro Models use this system because of its focused-adjustability & extra-flexibility

There is a reason why there is still an underground following – give a Jeenyus snowboard a bash if you can pick one up.
